LA Use of GIS to Develop NPS Watershed Plans:

  • In 1999 the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality began ESRI's ArcInfo and ESRI Business Partners LEICA Geosystems ERDA's IMAGINE software to devise a process for developing watershed implementation plans for the Nonpoint Source component of TMDLs.

Watershed Planning Guide:

  • The Watershed Management Section announces the availability of the new Indiana Watershed Planning Guide . This guide, developed with the participation of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Indiana Association of Soil & Water Conservation Districts, Purdue University, and the USEPA, replaces the Watershed Action Guide for Indiana. The document is intended to guide groups through the process of developing a watershed management plan, and includes a watershed management plan template. The Indiana Watershed Planning Guide is available in spiral bound hard copy and on CD ROM. To obtain hard copies of the guide, please email Laura Bieberich or call 317/233-1863. (IN).
