LA Use of GIS to Develop NPS Watershed Plans:

• In 1999 the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality began ESRI's ArcInfo and ESRI Business Partners LEICA Geosystems ERDA's IMAGINE software to devise a process for developing watershed implementation plans for the Nonpoint Source component of TMDLs.

Watershed Planning Guide:

• The Watershed Management Section announces the availability of the new Indiana Watershed Planning Guide . This guide, developed with the participation of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Indiana Association of Soil & Water Conservation Districts, Purdue University, and the USEPA, replaces the Watershed Action Guide for Indiana. The document is intended to guide groups through the process of developing a watershed management plan, and includes a watershed management plan template.
